Every month in 2019, Lärmschutz invites a fellow like-minded artist for a split release on Faux Amis records.
For the july installment, Black Faun came to us on a monday evening, when they happened to tour in the Netherlands. We recorded a session with the two of them, scraping, clanging, manipulating and twisting all sorts of electrical and non electrical stuff. The noise you hear on this tape is the glorious result.
Black Faun is a free improv noise duo (Alex M & Charis) that started early 2000 based on brutal sound collage interactions and the inevitable stream of unconsciousness.
Lots of banzai playing and weird live performances have built up a musical mutant entity that still changes shapes persistently
For side B, Lärmschutz responds in their own way, trying to capture not the same sounds but the same spirit they heard in Black Fauns recording. It got noisy, that's for sure.
Remember: You can save for a free tape with this split-series. Stickers come with every split, but the savingcard comes with the split we did with Terbeschikkingstelling:
